Annual Family Beach Week

I just came back from our annual extended family beach week on the BEAUTIFUL Oregon coast. Mom, my two sisters, Kathy and Ann, and our families have been spending a week together at the coast for over 25 years. All of the grandkids have grown up with this summer week to get together with their cousins. I've so enjoyed watching them all grow up through the years and enjoy each others company. Sadly as the years have gone by and the kids have grown up, not everyone is able to be at the beach for the whole week because of work or other commitments but last summer another generation was added to the group as it was my grand niece Ellie's first trip. This year she was almost a year and a half and was a great source of entertainment. Hopefully we'll be able to keep this tradition going for years to come.

The pictures are of the Yaquina Lighthouse and surrounding area and also of a little dear in a neighborhood close to where we stay on Road's End. Hope you are all making wonderful summer memories as well.

Saturday Market

I went to the local Saturday Market and bought some wonderful fruits and vegetables a couple of days ago. The weather was gorgeous and I was there with my Mom, my niece Erynn, and my great niece Ellie who is about 16 months and was quite the little charmer with all the vendors!

I also found a marvelous artist who makes jewelry from old beads and found objects. Her company name is "Autumn Rose" which I think is such a delightful name and perfect for her work. She says she will even create one of a kind pieces for people using their own heirloom objects! I bought the necklace shown below and am thrilled to have it.

Baby Steps

Well, it's a beginning. . .
Here's to my first change on my blog. I hear Kathy was having a contest to see who could guess the date that I would actually change the picture - so for whomever I just helped to win - you're welcome!!!

On another note, I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving and counted all your blessings!

MY SISTER MADE ME DO IT

I'm at my sister Kathy's (no she's hardly a nun) house. Her hubby is gone for the weekend so we're having a creative get together. She's been urging me to get a blog going so here it is. Well.....it's not quite here, but it's a beginning. The photo is actually Kathy's booth at quilt market. I've been given an assignment to replace it very soon!
